The main objectives of the Association are:

• to promote, sponsor and otherwise engage in engineering activities of Kazak engineers;
• to protect human rights and freedom of Kazak engineers and their professional and financial interests, and their good reputation;
• to improve the image of the engineering profession and encourage the application of technical progress to economic and social advancement;
• to establish favorable atmosphere for Kazak engineering specialist to exchange of engineering information and to share experience;
• to foster engineering education and training system and professional level of Kazak engineers; increase the level of their competitive ability;
• to attract attention of society to the circumstances in engineering and science;
• to co-operate with similar local and foreign engineering organizations  and unions ;
• to co-operate with international and governmental and non-governmental organizations  in engineering area;
• to foster introduction of international standards in engineering and engineering education into Kazak practice;
• to advance engineering as a profession and motivate students to become engineers
• to populate the best engineering works of Kazak engineers and scientists;
• to sponsor scientific and engineering meetings, symposia, trainings and the like;
• to do all other things non-prohibited by laws.

1. The General provisions

KAZAK INJENERLER BÌRLESTÌGÌ (hereinafter: Association) is a non-profit organization in the form of a public association established by citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in order to implement, protect and meet the professional interests of the members of the Association, to develop the scientific and technical progress and to develop Kazak technical language.

Association works under the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, other legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, international treaties and of this Charter.

Association operates on the principles of voluntariness, equality, democracy, and self-governance, rule of law, accountability and transparency.

Legal capacity of the Association as a corporate body starts since its registration in the law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Association may acquire property and personal rights and bear responsibilities, to be plaintiff and defendant in the courts, to perform other actions in accordance with statutory goals and activities.

Association has a bank account, a stamp with its name, and its own balance.

4. Formation of governing bodies and their competency and term of office

4.1 The governing bodies are:
The superior body is the founding meeting of Association members (hereinafter: Meeting).
The executive body is The Council.
The Meeting elects members of Council and Auditing Committee for three years period. The Meeting shall be called according to decision of The Council but at least once in three years.

4.2 The capacities of meeting are:
- changes in the Chapter and name of Association
- formation of Council
- election of Auditing Committee
- approval of internal rules of Association

4.3 The meeting is eligible if there are 2/3 of all number of members are presented.

4.4 In the time between Meetings the Council works as the executive body. The Council consists of Chairman and members.

4.5 The Chairman is elected by Meeting of the members for four years.

4.6 Auditing Committee is elected by members for one year.

Code of Professional Ethics of Kazakh engineers

An Engineer is always obliged to act on the principles of professional ethics enshrined in the Code so acceptance, approval and implementation of which is a precondition for his/her membership in the KIB.

Engineers always adhere to the highest ethical standards.

Engineers are always acting with the knowledge that his/her behavior will not lead to negative consequences, and his/her actions demonstrate respect for the quality of the environment.

Engineer behaves in such a way as to avoid insulting the feelings of others, respect for religious beliefs and convictions based on the belief of others, respect for sexual orientation and preferences of others, and respects the views of others and never seeks to enforce on others their own beliefs and opinions, should refrain from any disparaging allusions or comments regarding race, nationality, skin color, social background, as well as the physical handicap or disease in humans.

Engineer respects and defends the rights of their professional colleagues, complies with the laws of fair competition.

Engineer respects copyright, arising out of any inventive and creative activities. Plagiarism is unacceptable. Using any way the work of his colleague, engineer refers to the name of the author.

Engineer commits itself to create a working environment free of accidents and never harm the environment.

Engineer avoids physical violence, abusive or threatening behavior or action that may lead to injury or threat to life or damage to property.

No driving under the influence of alcohol.

Engineer observes the laws and traditions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Engineer does not take bribes and did not enter into a criminal conspiracy.
