Kazakh oil refineries to implement Euro-5 standards by 2014. Implementing Euro-5 oil refining standards is expected to boost Kazakhstan oil processing to 17 tons per year. Kazakhstan’s Ministry for Oil and Gas announced on Wednesday that it will bypass Euro-3 and Euro-4 oil refinery emissions standards to jump straight to implementing Euro-5 standards for the modernization of its refinery plants by 2014. Euro-5 compliant fuel emits a lower level of carbon fuels and prevents premature engine wear and corrosion.
Toyota to launch 11 new hybrid vehicles by end of 2012

Toyota Motor Corp said today it will launch 11 all-new and redesigned models of gasoline-electric hybrid vehicles by the end of 2012 to accelerate its eco-friendly vehicle strategy on consumers' growing interest in environmental conservation. Among them will be a highly fuel-efficient compact car that will run for at least 40 kilometers per liter of gasoline, the largest Japanese carmaker said. Under its plan for environmental conservation technologies, Toyota will also start sales of a plug-in hybrid vehicle in Japan, the United States and Europe by early 2012.

Marking the end of Expedition 24, cosmonauts Alexander Skvortsov, Mikhail Kornienko and astronaut Tracy Caldwell-Dyson successfully undocked their Soyuz TMA-18 at the second attempt, before landing at 5:23am GMT. The scheduled undocking was delayed 24 hours, following a problem related to the latch and hooks between the Soyuz and the MRM-2 (Mini Research Module-2) module.
The Soyuz Vehicle consists of three modules: the Orbital Module, the Descent Module (DM), and the Instrumentation/Propulsion Module (IPM).

The HumanCar Imagine PS, which can seat up to four people, is the brainchild of Charles Greenwood, an engineer who has been working on developing the perfect human-powered vehicle for more than 40 years.
